ERES Foundations partnered with Mile High United Way at Project Homeless Connect 2019
DENVER, CO — October 15, 2019 — Energy Real Estate Solutions (ERES), a full-service commercial real estate firm providing brokerage, project management, development, investment, property management, construction, and consulting services to North and South American energy and opportunistic markets, announces recent volunteerism efforts through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program ERES Foundations.
Partnering with the Mile High United Way in Denver, CO, ERES employees participated in Project Homeless Connect, an annual one-day event that brings together over 130 community resource providers and volunteers to help individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability connect with the vital resources they need to get back on their feet. An array of onsite assistance was offered at the event, ranging from ID services, housing services, resume workshops, haircuts and healthcare to veterans’ services, childcare, pet care and much more.
This years’ Project Homeless Connect serviced approximately 1,600 individuals in need with the help of over 900 volunteers. During the event ERES employees were paired one-on-one with guests to help them identify, prioritize and navigate accessing the numerous services being offered.
“Project Homeless Connect is so rewarding in that, as volunteers, you’re able to make a real-time impact in someone’s life…while forming a lasting connection to your community,” said Tom Bradley, ERES President and ERES Foundations Leader. “In the Denver Metro area, where ERES is headquartered, there are over 300,000 individuals living in poverty. With such an overwhelming need these events, which provide straight line access to resources, are crucial to creating lasting self-sufficiency.”
Launched in December of 2018, ERES Foundations is based on the firm’s existing efforts to support underserved populations in the communities where the company is based including Colorado, North Dakota, and Texas.
